Excitin has been operating in Hong Kong for almost 4 years and have enjoyed the journey immensly. As we look to consolidate our position as a seed and angel funders and idea incubators in Asia Pacific, we are looking at expanding our size in Hong Kong. When we first started in Hong Kong with three employees at a very small office in Central, we quickly realised that space was required.

We are now moving to the funky area of Sheung Wan Hong Kong. As leases and contracts are signed and the renovators move in to give it that “excitin” touch, we will post updates on how its all going.  Besides the increase in space, we will also be increasing our head count.

Over the coming months we will post new job opportunities for a number of positions including project managers,  web developers and even 3D models.

After searching for that wonderful piece of real estate in Melbourne, the senior management of Excitin are proud to announce the purchase of our new Melbourne office at 343 Little Collins Street Melbourne. Situated in the busy Melbourne Central Business District, the new office can be easily accessed by our clients, and close to a number of amazing Melbourne food and entertainment hubs.

The Melbourne team will move later this year as soon as renovation and current tenants have vacated and we are excited about the new home. A larger premises, the toy board to face Elizabeth Street, and brand look that captures what Excitin is about – fun, dynamic and most importantly excitin to work for.

Excitin has Angel invested into Makible Limited. Makible based in Hong Kon. Makible is a startup company that is creating a new way of making things. We connect up with communities and help to create products that solve their common problems.

Makible has been featured on engadget, e27 and other blogs and has gained exceptional publicity even before beta has gone live. Makible beta will be avaliable early Q3 2011. Excitin directors sit on Makible board and have invested in Angel round.

Glooh a boutique recruitment firm based in Melbourne, Hong Kong and Singapore who help professional individuals with amazing job opportunities in Asia. We specialise in contract recruitment services, IT recruitment and executive search placement. Glooh counts Dell, Hewlett Packard, Accenture, Capgemini, Telstra and ANZ as their clients.  Excitin has purchased a 5% stack in Glooh Recruitment in 2011.

In 2011, we have grown our online presence, and as a result, we have moved to a brand new look website.  We say “Our philosophy is about making the internet better. Now we know we can’t do that by ourselves, but we can control what we do. So our promise to you is that our collection of websites will be as fun and easy to use”, and that is exactly what we have done with excitin.com. Our new platform is integrated with Google, Twitter, Facebook, Ceeen and of course WordPress.

Excitin and Playbooth are working to build the largest online dance music website in the world. Modelled on beatport, Playbooth will allow Android users to download and stream music across multiple devices.

Playbooth has recieved funding from Excitin in its initial seed rounds and is scheduled to be live for beta in Q4 2011.

Clubtunes is a digital radio station based in Melbourne, Australia. Started by former members of Pulse Fm, Hitz Fm and Kiss Fm Melbourne, Clubtunes is seeking digital licence across Australia, Singapore, Hong Kong and China in 2012.

From Q1 2012, Clubtunes will be launching its digital station on Melbourne’s digital bandwidth and Sydney in Q2 2012.

Excitin owns a 12% share of Clubtunes and is to be the major brand builder across 2012 in Australia.

Excitin has acquired IP and Operations of Singapore Photography website and technology. Picskeep is a brand popular in Singapore and Malaysia which saves photographers files remotely and through secure data storage. Picskeep technology is used by a number of companies across Singapore and Malaysia.

Picskeep will be releasing this technology for public beta in late 2011.

Excitin forms an alliance with Singapore based company  to launch new iPod accessories range. Boppod accessories for iPad, iPod include boppods brand new DJ quality headphones, cases and covers.

Excitin will be launching Kiss Hugs in 2012. A free dating website launching across Asia including China. Excitin is the lead incubator and brand builder for Kiss Hugs.

EPSE Entertainment Holdings New York are launching Show my Video in 2012. Scheduled to be launch Q2 2012, Show my video is a video posting website with a difference. Excitin is work with EPSE on the branding and distribution of SMV throughout US. The partnership between EPSE and Excitin includes a 15% stake in SMV.
